When I first began as a private investigator many years ago, there were several spouse infidelity investigations a year and the trend was that we would get far more enquiries for this type of surveillance as summer approached.
The reasons for this trend were often the subject of lively discussion between myself and my associates. Nowadays we carry out dozens of spouse investigations each year and there is no such trend. People; husbands, wives, partners often come to me with concerns and the time of year now has no relevance.
I think that TV programs and media coverage has educated people that many others have been through infidelity issues in their relationships and that it is possible to face these issues with professional help from agencies like mine.
I am often asked by friends and acquaintances, how many of the cases regarding infidelity actually result in proof being obtained that the partner was being unfaithful. They are always surprised when I reply that virtually all investigations have that result.
It is clear to me that nearly all people who approach me for this type of work already know deep down that the activity is happening but they can’t
bring themselves to face the truth or take affirmative action without proof that can’t be explained away by the offending party. Once I give them the positive evidence and help to guide them through, they are much more likely to address the issue in a concise and informed manner.
Another regular question of me is, “Do you feel guilty following people and invading their privacy?” My job here is not to invade anyone’s privacy. My task is to obtain evidence to assist my client address issues in their lives and to help them through this extremely distressing time.
There seems to be no pattern to the number or males versus females who use my services or for that matter is age or occupation a barrier. As I said at the beginning, we are all human and we all deserve the right to know the truth.
